Join our friendly social group and immerse yourself in the beauty of traditional Japanese handcrafts. Whether you enjoy the delicate folding of Tsumami or the rhythmic stitching of Sashiko, this is the perfect space to relax, create, and connect with others who share your passion for textile art.

Tsumami is the art of folding small fabric squares (often silk) to create intricate flowers and ornaments.
Sashiko is a centuries-old embroidery technique using simple yet striking geometric patterns stitched by hand.

Please note: Basic skills in either Tsumami or Sashiko are required to attend. While our instructor will be present to offer guidance, this is not a structured class — there will be no formal teaching. Instead, it’s a relaxed, social environment where you can work on your own projects, exchange ideas, and get light assistance when needed.

In our social group, you can:

  • Work on your own Tsumami or Sashiko projects

  • Learn new techniques from others

  • Share tips, ideas, and inspiration

  • Enjoy a welcoming, creative atmosphere

Bring your own materials and tools, or purchase starter kits from us on the day. No formal teaching — just a supportive space for crafting, chatting, and enjoying the mindful process of making.
